Role summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to help drive and support the functional safety activities relating to the development and maintenance of the organization Inc.’s (HEI) equipment and systems. As a member of the Engineering team, the / Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with the Sr. Manager and domain experts to ensure delivery of the company’s functional safety projects, initiatives and related short and long-term goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer/Systems Engineering.
- Holds a relevant Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and/or a designation.
- Must have knowledge of systems engineering, DevOps, test cases and test reports.
- Prior work experience (5+ years) in functional safety standards and certification(s).
- Proven experience in the application of , and ISO 13849. Experience in Mining strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Safety Analysis methods: (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (), Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA).
- Strong project/program management skills and requirements writing skills.
